“Ragging in all its forms is totally banned in Lala Ami Chand Monga Memorial College of Education in its campus, its premises whether located within the campus or outside and in all means of transportation of students whether public or private.

The institution shall take strict action including but not limited to criminal proceeding and / or cancellation of admission against those found guilty of ragging and / or of abetting ragging and the burden of proof shall hereby lie on the perpetrator of alleged ragging and not on the victim.

An offence of Ragging may be charged either on a written complaint by the affected or on independent finding of the Anti Ragging Squad. The institution is bound by the UGC Regulation on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutional 2009”.

In view of directions of Honorable Supreme Court on this the UGC Regulations on curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institution, a meeting was held on 14.09.2012, Chaired by the Principal of the college and other staff members were present in this meeting for the discussion to establish and Anti Ragging Committee of the institution for the session 2012-13.

In the meeting several decisions were taken unanimously:-

1. In the Anti Ragging Committee of the Institution will be three members including Inchargeand two Senior Lecturers Dr. Archana Hota will be the Incharge of the committee and Mrs. Anupama Aggarwal and Mr. Pawan Kumar were selected as the members of the committee.
2. Anti Ragging Committee will remain in touch of the students for knowing their problems related to ragging.
3. Anti Ragging Committee will keep in touch with local Police Station for taking necessary action if required.
4. Some extension activities will be done to make the students aware about Anti Ragging Act in the college.
5. Hording, banners, boards will display the different information regarding Anti Ragging in the college campus.
6. The Anti Ragging Committee will remain in coordination with the Anti Ragging Squad which is formed at District Level by the District Administration.
7. Every student will have to fill up a declaration about non participating in any activity related to Ragging or give an affidavit as prescribed by State Govt.
8. An affidavit may be taken from the parents of the students regarding Anti Ragging.
